Donald "Donnie" L. Smitley Jr., 66 of Markleysburg, PA passed away on Tuesday July 4, 2023 at his home. Donnie was born January 13, 1957, the son of Donald L. Sr. and Rose Marie (Sutyak) Smitley. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Mary M. Smitley and two infant brothers Christopher Michael and John Edward Smitley. Donnie is survived by his wife, Linda Smitley and their two children, Donald Smitley III and fiance Felicia Rodgers, of Lemont Furnace, PA and David Smitley and girlfriend, Morgan McShane of Uniontown, PA, along with three daughters from a previous marriage; Christina (Jerry) Gray of Hilton Head, SC, Dawn Marie (Jason) Over of Fairchance, PA and Melissa (Rick) Reynolds of Smithfield, PA. He is also survived by five grandchildren; Malayna Gray, Dylan Over, Wesley OVer, Ricky Reynolds and Shayla Reynolds; two siblings, Emma (Brett) Matthews and Thomas (Colleen) Smitley; a niece Joyce (Scott) Mazzeo and several other nieces, nephews, cousins and his canine companion Duke. Friends will be received at Stephen R. Haky Funeral Home, 603 N. Gallatin Ave. Ext. Uniontown on Sunday July 9, from 2-4 & 6-8 PM and on Monday July 10 until 11:00 AM at which time a service will begin with Rev. Michael Lyons officiating.
