Donald E. "Don" Burke Jr., age 55, of Smithfield, PA, passed away on Wednesday, April 8, 2015 at the Uniontown Hospital. He was born on August 14, 1959, in Footedale, PA.

Don was preceded in death by his father Donald E. Burke Sr. on April 20, 2002.

Don worked as a mechanic throughout his life. He worked as a Master Mechanic for Point Marion Ford for 26 years. He also coached softball in Smithfield for many years. Don loved hunting and fishing, especially fishing at the beach, and enjoyed riding his motorcycle. For the last 4 years he has been employed by First Student Bus Lines. He was a member of the National Rifle Association (NRA) and a member of the Fairchance Gun Club, in Smithfield.

Left to cherish his memory are, his wife of 30 years, Karen (Bacha) Burke of Smithfield, PA; his children, Alysha Ann Burke of Uniontown, PA, and Donald A. "DJ" Burke of Smithfield, PA; a grandson, who was the light of his life, Austin Todd; his mother, Marie Ann (Hornick) Burke of Footedale, PA; a sister, Susan (Burke) Spak and her husband Carl "Chuckie" of McClellandtown, PA; brother, Joseph E. Burke and his wife Linda (Kodric) of Keisterville, PA; nieces and nephews, Charles Spak of Fairchance, PA, Jessica Spak of McClellandtown, PA, Gregory Spak and his wife Rachel of Mcclellandtown, PA, Anna Marie Spak Parker and her husband Gerald "Willie" of Jacksonville, FL, Beverly (Burke) Keefer and her husband Steven, Joseph E. Burke Jr., Rebecca "Becca" Burke, Gabrielle "Gabba" Burke all of Keisterville, PA, Ken Cerny and Brandon Cerny of Smithfield, PA, Andrew Bacha and Tyler Bacha both of Uniontown, PA; and a great-niece, Haylen Spak of Fairchance, PA.

Friends will be received in the Stephen R. Haky Funeral Home, Inc. 603 N. Gallatin Ave. Ext. Uniontown, PA, on Saturday, April 11, 2015 from 12-3 p.m. and 5-8 p.m.

A Blessing Service will follow at 8 p.m. in the Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Father James F. Petrovsky Officiating.
