Donald J. Bereiter, Jr., 59 of Smock, Pa., died on Sunday, November 28, 2021 at Lafayette Manor surrounded by his loving family. He was born on October 9, 1962 in Uniontown, son of the late Donald J. Bereiter, Sr. and Frances Marie (Martin) Bereiter. He was also preceded in death by several aunts and uncles.

Donald was a graduate of Uniontown High School Class of 1980 and earned an Associate Degree from California University. He was a loving father, a good and kind man who cared deeply about animals, especially his beloved pets, Ruby Tuesday and Curtis.

Left to cherish his memory are his daughter, Haley Frances Bereiter and her partner Travis of Hopwood; a brother, David W. Bereiter of Miami, FL.; aunts, Kathryn Martin of Miami, FL, and Ginger Monaghan of Conway, SC; and dear friends, Ginger D'Amico and her daughter Chloe of New Salem, and Bob Stone of Uniontown.

In accordance with his wishes, a Private Blessing Service will be held for his family at the Stephen R. Haky Funeral Home, Inc., 603 N. Gallatin Ave. Ext., Uniontown. Also, in lieu of other tributes, contributions to Fayette Friends of Animals are made in his memory.
