Obituary

Mrs. Dolores Everly, 98, of Uniontown, passed away on Thursday, May 28, 2026.

She was born in Buffington, PA on November 21, 1927 to the late George A. and Mary Kokesh Nabozny.

Dolores graduated from Uniontown High School, class of 1946.

She previously worked at Parker Hunter in Uniontown and then retired from J.W. Ruby Memorial Hospital as an LPN.

Dolores was a former member of Gans United Methodist Church.

Dolores was artistically talented and was an independent achiever. These aspects of her came through in several ways throughout her life. She enjoyed painting, especially oil paintings and baking. She was an avid golfer and bowler, having been in several leagues in the Uniontown area. She was a musician and shared that talent playing the French horn in the former VFW Post 47 Marching Band.

Dolores is survived by three children, Mary Catherine Smelko and husband Ken of Uniontown, Susan Coughanour of Brownsville, and Daniel Porreca and wife Lori of Lancaster; ten grandchildren, Michelle Hall and husband Robert, Julie Slampak, Debra Vickers, Joshua Smelko and wife Cassandra, Shawn Phillips and wife Kathy, Jason Lee, Jesse Porreca and wife Raquel, Jonathon Porreca and wife Melissa, Michael Porreca and wife Sarah, and Starella Porreca; fifteen great grandchildren; and two great great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Darryl Blaine Everly in January of 2013; two brothers, Thomas Nabozny and George A. Nabozny, Jr.; a great grandson, Ryan Breiner; and her former husband, Pete P. Porreca in April 2016.

Visitation for Dolores will be held at the Stephen R. Haky Funeral Home, 603 N. Gallatin Ave. Ext., Uniontown, PA 15401 on Monday, June 1st from 11 AM to 2 PM, at which time the funeral service will begin at the funeral home.

Interment is in Sylvan Heights Cemetery.

Dolores’ family would like to extend heartfelt appreciation to her caregiver, Kathy Friend, Amedysis Hospice, Pastor Ken Jones, Rhianon Ansel, Betty Wallace, Lexi, Lindsey, and Logan Miller.
