Debra Jo (Seiaman) Hicks, 60, of Ronco, PA, passed away on Sunday, November 30, 2014 at the Uniontown Hospital. She was born on April 14, 1954 in Uniontown, daughter of Joseph Seiaman who preceded her in death in 2009, and Louise Mary Seiaman who resides in Ronco.
In addition to her mother, Debra is survived by her loving husband of 42 years, Darell A. Hicks, a son Darell A. Hicks, Jr., a daughter Dana Hicks, a grandson Christian Hicks whom she cherished, and a brother, Joseph P. Seiaman, all of Ronco.
Debra worked as a Licensed Beautician at The Hair Lair in Masontown for over 30 years. She was a member of St. Francis of Assisi Parish, Masontown, and for many years dedicated her time making Perogi for Our Lady of Perpetual Help St. Mary R.C. Church, Leckrone.
She was an active member of the Ronco V.F.D., member of the Ronco V.F.D. Ladies Auxiliary, and member of the AMVETS Post 103 Auxiliary. Debra was an avid Steeler fan, loved to play Bingo, and enjoyed trips to the Meadowlands Casino. Above all else, time spent with her grandson Christian, and being a part of his activities gave her the greatest joy in life.
For over 20 years Debra was a participant and supporter of Diabetes Research at Children's Hospital of Pittsburgh. Friends will be received at the Haky Funeral Home, Inc., 515 N. Main St., Masontown, PA, on Wednesday from 2-4 and 6-9 p.m.; and on Thursday until 9:30 a.m. when Prayers of Transfer will be said.
The Funeral Mass will follow at 10 a.m. on Thursday, December 4, in St. Francis of Assisi Parish, 101 S. Washington St., Masontown, PA, with Rev. Father James F. Petrovsky as Celebrant.
Interment will be held at Our Lady of Perpetual Help, St. Mary Cemetery, Leckrone, PA.
