Mr. David F. Wydo, 78, of Uniontown, passed away on Thursday, July 16, 2026 at Uniontown Hospital.

He was born in Uniontown on February 2, 1948, to the late Michael and Katherine Tekley Wydo.

David graduated from Laurel Highlands High School.

He was a veteran of the United States Air Force, having served during the Vietnam Era.

David retired from the mail room at SCI Fayette.

He loved all of his dogs through the years, and took pride in his old, red, Honda Prelude.

David is survived his wife, Joyce Wydo of Uniontown; son, Michael Wydo and wife MaryJo of Myrtle Beach; daughter, Michelle Wallace and husband Frank of Lemont Furnace; grandchildren, Myka Wydo, Cody Wallace, and Cortney Novak and husband Cody; great grandson, Colton Novak; siblings, Michael W. "Bill" Wydo and wife Jean, John Wydo and wife Ellen, Diane Buehner and husband William, and Monika Franks and husband Ralph; several nieces and nephews; step-children, Gina Williams and Brian Giachetti; and step-grandchildren, Brie, Olivia, Ryan, Cole, Chase, Gianna, and Tylar.

Military honors and inurnment will be held on Wednesday, July 22nd at 10:30 AM at the National Cemetery of the Alleghenies, 1158 Morgan Road, Bridgeville, PA 15017.

Arrangements are under the direction of the Stephen R. Haky Funeral Home, 603 N. Gallatin Ave. Ext., Uniontown, PA 15401.
