Daniel J. Kakos, age 42, of Vanderbilt, PA, passed away on Wednesday, December 16, 2015, in the Uniontown Hospital surrounded by his loving family. Daniel was born in West Mifflin, PA, a son of Joseph J. Kakos and Cheryl (McClelland) Kakos.

Daniel was preceded in death by his mother, Cheryl Kakos, on November 5, 2010; his paternal grandparents, George and Mary Kakos; and his uncle George Kakos Jr.

Daniel was a member of St. Aloysius Roman Catholic Church, Dunbar, PA.

Left to cherish his memory, are his father, with whom he made his home, Joseph J. Kakos; his brother, Mark B. Kakos and his wife Melissa; his niece Madison; and his aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Friends will be received at the Stephen R. Haky Funeral Home, Inc., 603 North Gallatin Ave. Ext, Uniontown, PA., on Saturday, December 19, from 4-8 pm, Sunday, December 20, from 2-8 pm, and Monday, December 21, until 9:15 am, when Parting Prayers will be said.

The Funeral Mass will follow at St. Aloysius Roman Catholic Church, 459 Ranch Road, Dunbar, PA 15431, with Rev. Father Micah Kozoil as Celebrant.

Interment will be held at St. John Cemetery, Perryopolis, PA
