Craig B. Solesky, 49 of Lemont Furnace passed away on Monday August 19, 2019 at Manorcare Nursing Home in McMurray. He was born on November 23, 1969 in Uniontown, son of the late Paul and Barbara (Bodnar) Solesky. Brother of Mark Solesky of Lemont Furnace with whom he resided. Craig graduated from Laurel Highlands High School in 1988 and played on the Varsity basketball team. He also attended Penn State University, majoring in Liberal Arts and Sciences. He was a member of St. Mary's (Nativity) Church in Uniontown where he was an altar server growing up. Craig had a quick wit and a great sense of humor. He loved to tell a joke and he always had a fantastic story to tell. He was a people person that loved the company of others and could strike up a conversation with anyone. He was always willing to lend a helping hand to a friend or neighbor in need. He also was a good worker and liked to work with his hands in his jobs with Allegheny Power, the North Union Twp. Supervisors and Gerome Manufacturing, loved to spend time outdoors especially fishing and was commonly referred to as the "trout slayer". He enjoyed his classic rock music and grunge bands. He was close to and spent a lot of time with his brother Mark and enjoyed the company of his high school friends whom he kept in contact with after graduation from Laurel Highlands. Prayers of Transfer Saturday at 9:15 AM followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at St. Mary's (Nativity) Church in Uniontown at 10:00 AM. Interment to follow at Sylvan Heights Cemetery. The Lazarus Ministry Group will conduct the parish wake service on Friday at 3:00 PM in the funeral home.
