Corina Ailes Walters, 88, of Uniontown, Pa passed away at the Pittsburgh VA Hospital surrounded by her loving family on Friday January 11, 2019.  She was born on June 13, 1930 in South Bend, Indiana, daughter of the late Fredrick and Blanche Ailes.  In addition to her parents, Corina was preceded in death by her husband Michael Ernest Walters and sisters Donna and Beverly.  She was a dedicated and hard worker, meeting her husband while serving in the Air Force during the Korean War, while stationed in Walker Air Force Base in Roswell, New Mexico. After leaving the service, she worked at the Uniontown hospital as a switchboard operator, where she retired from in 1984, and continuing service volunteering at the hospital.  She spent her late years calling bingo at the Senior Center and morning coffee at McDonalds, as well as enjoying family and spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She is survived by a sister and brother, Elizabeth of Ft Worth, Texas and Fredrick Jr. Carpentersville, Illinois, as well as two sons and their wives, Ernest and Sherrie of Uniontown, and Gary and Mary of Uniontown, 4 grandchildren, Christopher of Newport News, Va, Micheal of Pittsburgh, Pa, Jennifer of Latrobe, Pa and Rebecca of Hermitage, Pa, and six great grandchildren, Anna, Alexis, Nathaniel, Gabreial, David, and Abbigail.  In accordance with her wishes, there will be no public visitation or services.  In lieu of flowers, it is her wish that donations are made to your local library.
