Mr. Christopher A. Franz, 93 of Dunbar, "Juniata", passed away on Wednesday, December 31, 2025 at Lafayette Manor.
He was born in Uniontown on August 18, 1932 to the late Joseph and Mary (Duritsa) Franz.
Christopher was a veteran of the United States Army. Having served during the Korean War, and honorably discharged with the rank of Corporal.
He worked at US Steel National Tube Works for over thirty-five years.
Christopher was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and great grandfather. He always provided for his family and enjoyed spending time with them.
He loved to golf and mow his lawn.
Christopher is survived by a daughter, Monica Murphy and husband Samuel of Smock; granddaughter, Jennifer (Hovanic) Kern and husband Bruce of Vanderbilt; great grandchildren, Gabriella Kern, Juliana Kern, both of Florida, and Logan Kern of Minnesota.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his loving wife of sixty-five years, Mary Ann (Klippi) Franz; and brothers, Joseph Franz and Henry Franz.
Services are private.
Interment is in Sylvan Heights Cemetery.
The family wishes to express their appreciation to the staff of caregivers at Lafayette Manor, for the care they provided to him in his last few months.
