Charlotte Marie (Bennie) Serratta, age 57 of Lemont Furnace, PA, died on Thursday,

February 2, 2012 at the Uniontown Hospital.

She was born on December 5, 1954 in

Uniontown, daughter of Peter "Pete" Bennie, Sr. and Kathryn Margaret (Stefko) Bennie,

who preceded her in death.

Charlotte was a very giving and selfless human being. She was very warm, kind hearted

and compassionate and loved by everyone who knew her. She will be dearly remembered

and sadly missed. Her greatest joy in life was family -- her husband and her sons. She

was a wonderful wife and very proud mother.

She is survived by her loving husband of 39 years, Donald J. Serratta, Sr.; their sons,

Senior Chief Petty Officer Donald J. Serratta, Jr., USN, Military Entrance Processing

Station, Pittsburgh, PA; and Senior Chief Petty Officer Daniel J. Serratta, USN, Navy

Personnel Command, Millington, TN.; 5 brothers and sisters, Monica L. Hodges,

Kathleen M. Ermini, Peter G. Bennie, Jr., Charles M. Bennie, and Theresa A. Vojacek

and husband Mark; and many dear nieces and nephews.

Friends will be received at the Stephen R. Haky Funeral Home, Inc., 603 N. Gallatin

Ave., Ext., Uniontown, PA, on Monday, February 6, from 2 - 4 and 7-9 p.m.; and also on

Tuesday, February 7, 2012 until 10 a.m.

A Blessing Service will be held at 10 a.m. at the funeral chapel, with Rev. Father Stephen

R. Bugay Officiating.

Interment will be privately held at Sylvan Heights Cemetery, Uniontown, PA.
