IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Charlotte Renae
Franks
July 16, 1963 – March 30, 2019
Charlotte Renae (Hendrickson) Franks, 55 of Uniontown, Pa. passed away suddenly at home on Saturday, March 30, 2019; now reunited with her beloved husband Mark A. Franks who died in 2017, and their cherished son Christopher Alan Franks, who died in 1998. She was the first of her siblings to pass away.
She was born on July 16, 1963 in Grand Forks, ND, daughter of the late Vernon Hendrickson, and Shirley (Mastrud) Hendrickson who resides in North Dakota. In addition to her father, husband and son, Charlotte was also preceded in death by her step-father Roger, and a brother-in-law, Wayne Dullerud.
Left to cherish her memory is her daughter Christina Renae Franks Zivkovich, husband Craig, and soon to be born grandson, Riley Christopher Zivkovich of California, Pa.; her mother, Shirley Hendrickson of North Dakota; brothers and sisters, Beverly Gonzales of South Dakota, Stephen Hendrickson of Uniontown, Pa., Sharon Dullerud of South Dakota, Vergil Hendrickson and wife Laura of Uniontown, Pa. and Anita Gundvaldson and husband Stephen of South Dakota; numerous nieces and nephews; special friends who were like her own children, Tim Brashear and Jessica Kemp, her neighbors, Gwen and Mike Takacs, Johanna, and many others.
"Char" was looking forward with great excitement to the birth of her first grandchild. She enjoyed family get- togethers, and approached life with great passion; often affectionately known by her neighbors and pastor as the "neighborhood pitbull". She will be deeply missed by her family and friends, remembering her as a wonderful hostess, especially during family game night, and a creative and gifted crafter. Memories of her unforgettable smile and laugh, trips to the beach and love of beachcombing for seashells, dancing, playing scratch off lottery tickets, computer games, and "Yahtzee for money" will remain in our hearts.
Friends will be received at the Stephen R. Haky Funeral Home, Inc., 603 N. Gallatin Ave. Ext., Uniontown, Pa. on Thursday, April 4, from 2 p.m. until 7 p.m., the Hour of Service, with Pastor Galen E. Winebrenner officiating.
Private entombment will be held at Sylvan Heights Mausoleum.
In her honor, all relatives and friends are encouraged to dress in casual baby blue (her favorite color) apparel.
