Charles L Tate, age 89, of Uniontown, Pa., passed away on Friday February 13, 2015.

He was born on February 15, 1925 in Haydentown, Pa., a son of Lewis Edward and Clara Mae (Chipps) Tate.

Charles was preceded in death by his parents, wife Louise G. (Everly) Tate, sisters, Leona Kern, Annabel (infant), his brother Marshall and his long time companion Betty Bankhead.

He is survived by his son Charles David and his wife Donna, siblings Claretta Angell, Virginia Braddee, William Tate, Lucy Evans, Robert Tate and his wife Nancy. Several, nieces and nephews and his very close friends Donald and Brenda Moats and their family.

Arrangements are under the direction of the Stephen R. Haky Funeral Home, Inc. 603 North Gallatin Ave. Ext., Uniontown, Pa.

There will be a graveside service on Monday February 16, 2015 at 1 p.m. in Sylvan Heights Cemetery, Uniontown, PA. The family asks all family and friends to meet at the funeral home at 12:45 p.m., to go in precession to the grave.

Military honors will be accorded by the AMVETS Post 103 of Hopwood. Pa.
