Cathryn E. Emerson, age 90 of Smithfield, PA, formerly of Masontown, Pa., went to be with the Lord on Monday, February 27, 2012. She was the daughter of the late Andrew Joseph and Kathryn "Irene" Berieter.

Cathryn was a past member of The Scope Rhythm Band of Warren, Oh for 13 years and the Masontown Senior Citizen Center.

In addition to her parents, Cathryn was preceded in death by her husbands, Frank Miller, Theodore Harold Emerson, a son Vernon Miller, and a brother Donald Berieter.

She is survived by her children, Ruth Mota, Patricia Rodriguez, Catherine Miller, Frank Miller and wife Janice, William A. Miller, 9 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren, and 20 great great grandchildren, brothers James Berieter, Raymond Berieter, sisters Alice Fike, Dorothy Flowers and several nieces and nephews.

The family would like to express their sincere appreciation to Eva Davis & the staff of Amedisys Hospice for the special care given to their "mom" through her ending days.

Friends will be received in the Haky Funeral Home, Inc, 515 North Main St., Masontown, Pa., on Thursday, March 1, 2012 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m.; and also on Friday, March 2, 2012 until 2 p.m., the hour of service, with Pastor Scott Teets officiating.

Interment will be held at Park Memorial Cemetery, Uniontown, PA
