Catherine Marie "Kay" (Hancak) Polito, 90, of Uniontown, PA, passed away Thursday, January 19, 2017, in Haragos Personal Care Home, Uniontown, PA. She was born December 10, 1926 in Uniontown, a daughter of the late Michael and Mary (Rusnok) Hancak.

Kay was the last surviving member of her immediate family. In addition to her parents, Catherine was preceded in death by her husband, Peter J. Polito Sr., in July of 1983; brothers, Michael, John, Joseph, and Andrew Hancak; and sisters, Mary Hancak and Eleanor Rerko.

Catherine was a member of St. Mary (Nativity) Roman Catholic Church, Uniontown. She was also a member of St. Mary Confraternity of Christian Mothers and the First Slovak Ladies Union #68.

Left to cherish her memory are her children, Peter J. Polito and his wife Karen of Uniontown, PA, and Ronald A. Polito of Hutchinson PA; her granddaughter, Alexis Marie Polito; and many brothers and sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews and their families.

Friends will be received in the Stephen R. Haky Funeral Home Inc., 603 N. Gallatin Ave. Ext., Uniontown, PA, on Sunday, January 22, from 2-8 p.m. and Monday, January 23, until 9:15 a.m. when Prayers of Transfer will be said.

The Funeral Mass will follow on Monday, January 23, at 10 a.m. in St. Mary (Nativity) Roman Catholic Church, 61 N. Mt. Vernon Ave., Uniontown, PA, with Rev. Father Peter L. Peretti as Celebrant.

The Parish Wake Service will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Sunday, followed by the Christian Mothers Prayer Service.

Interment services will follow at St. Mary (Nativity) Cemetery, Uniontown, PA.
