Carole Barbara (Vargo) Kolar, 86, of Uniontown passed away on Friday January 2, 2026 peacefully at her home. Born November 8, 1939 in Bobtown, PA, daughter of the late Gady and Ann (Rennich) Varga. Beloved wife of the late John Kolar. She was the loving mother of Barry (Maria) Kolar of Morgantown, WV, Lora Puskar and her late husband, Richard, of Monongahela, PA, Chris Kolar of Uniontown, and Kevin (Lucy) Kolar of Wake Forest, NC; her grandchildren Michael (Elle) Puskar, Victoria Kolar, Jacob (Sarah) Kolar, Elizabeth Kolar, Rachel Kolar, John (Lide) Kolar, and Sophia Kolar; her sisters Loretta Vargo, Gloria (Joseph) Hatalla, and Rita (Bernard) Imrich. Carole was a devout Catholic and member of St. Joseph R.C. Church of Uniontown and the Confraternity of Christian Mothers. She had a special devotion to the Blessed Mother and prayed the rosary daily. She enjoyed difficult crossword puzzles, cooking, baking, and hosting holiday events and parties for her family. Carole was a selfless person, continuously putting everyone's needs before her own. She endured many challenges with insurmountable patience and grace. She always had a smile for everyone. Visitation at Stephen R. Haky Funeral Home, 603 N. Gallatin Ave. Ext. on Wednesday, Jan 7, from 2-4 & 6-8 PM. Thursday, Jan 8, Prayers of Transfer at 9:15 AM followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 AM at St. Joseph Church 180 Old Walnut Hill Rd. Uniontown. Interment will follow at Mt. St. Macrina Cemetery. The family would like to express their heartfelt gratitude to Carole's caregivers, Ann, Margie, Nancy, Patti, and Paula for their steadfast devotion in caring for her. They were her angels on earth. A special thank you is extended to Bob Mangold, Mark & Gerry Hasson, Joyce Puskar, and Darla Swenglish, who was like a second daughter, for preparing the many meals for Carole over the last several years.
