Obituary

Mrs. Brenda Sue Burncheck, 62, of West Leisenring, passed away on Thursday, July 30, 2026 at her home.

She was born in Morgantown, WV on January 24, 1964 to the late James (Bud) Smallwood and Delphia (Posie) Rose Duley Caton.

Brenda met her soulmate, Theodore Burncheck (Teddy) at the age of 13, and they were united in marriage on July 5, 1984. Together, they recently celebrated 42 years of marriage, 49 years together, and were a pure example of what a rich marriage is.

Brenda was a member of the House of Prayer Church in Oliver. She had a great love and passion for Jesus. She loved gardening, bird watching, fishing, and spending time with family and friends. She naturally enjoyed taking care of others, her family, and her home. She had a green thumb and a gorgeous, well maintained plant room into the entrance of her home. She loved feeding her hummingbirds. She absolutely loved butterflies, so much that her entire house was decorated in butterflies throughout. She served as a motherly figure to many others than just her own. She was funny and full of energy.
