Betty L. (Sytko) Sabatula, 77, of Uniontown, PA, passed away peacefully at home with her family at her side on Tuesday, October 28, 2014. She was born on February 27, 1937 in Uniontown, daughter of Walter and Blanche Sytko.

She joins the love of her life and soul mate, husband Andrew W. "Whitey" Sabatula, who died on April 30, 2003, as well as her parents, and brothers, Walter Sytko, Jr. and Frank Donesec, in Heaven.

Betty was a graduate of North Union High School Class of 1954, and a licensed Beautician. She loved to cook, bake, and crochet. Affectionately known as "Sissy" by her family and friends, Betty enjoyed helping her neighbors whenever needed.

Surviving are her loving children, Timothy Sabatula, Kimberly King and husband Melvin, Jamie McDowell, Donald Sabatula, Darla Holt and husband Anthony; son-in-law, Dan McDowell; a grandson, Garrett Andrew Holt; and Jordan Dunham who was like a granddaughter to her. She also leaves behind her pet, "Buddy".

The family would like to thank the caregivers of Fayette Home Care and Hospice, especially, Diane Humbert, Debbie McShane, Dr. Linda Burstynowicz, MD, and Wendy Hamilton.

Friends will be received in the Stephen R. Haky Funeral Home, Inc., 603 N. Gallatin Ave., Ext., Uniontown, PA, on Thursday, October 30, from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m.; and on Friday morning, October 31, until 9:30 a.m.

A Blessing Service will be held at 9: 30 a.m. on Friday in the funeral home chapel, with Rev. Father James W. Clark Officiating

Private Interment will be held at Sylvan Heights Cemetery.
