Bertha Elizabeth Atkinson, age 73, of Uniontown, PA, passed away peacefully at Mercy Hospital on Saturday, February 12, 2011.

She was born on March 3, 1937 in Meadow Bridge, WV. She was the daughter of the late Myrl Ennis and Mildred (Parker) Ennis. She was preceded in death by her parents, her beloved husband, Robert Atkinson, and a brother Houston Ennis.

Left to cherish her memory are daughter, Loretta Rhodes, of Uniontown, PA.; a son, David Atkinson, of Donora, PA; three sisters, Betty Cizel and her husband Albert, of Norris, SC., Rosa Peasley and her husband Steve, of Kent, OH., and Berttie Fernatt, of Uhricksville, OH. Bertha will also be remembered by her many Nieces and Nephews.

Bertha was a kind and loving woman who enjoyed the most simple of things in life. She loved people and life in general.

Friends will be received in the Stephen R. Haky Funeral Home Inc. 603 N. Gallatin Ave. Ext. Uniontown, PA 15401 on Tuesday, February 15, 2011 from 10 AM until 12 PM, the hour of service. Services will be held in the Stephen R. Haky Funeral home Chapel

Entombment will be privately held under the direction of the Stephen R. Haky Funeral Home.
