Bernice McKinney Anderson, age 93, formerly of Hopwood, PA, passed away peacefully, with her daughter and caretakers by her side on Wednesday, December 1, 2010 at Hillside Manor nursing home.

She was born on July 27, 1917 in Brustin Mills, WV. Daughter of the late Samuel J. and Olive (Hileman) McKinney, she was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Charles Robert Anderson, son Edward Anderson, Daughter Diane Anderson, 3 brothers, and 7 sisters.

Left to cherish her memory is her loving daughter Patricia Scott and husband William of Hopwood, PA; grandchildren, William P. Scott and wife Lynn of Hopwood, PA., Lynn Barsky and husband Rick of Houston, TX., and Kelly Fell and husband David of Perryopolis, PA; great-grandchildren, Marilyn Scott, Alexa Barsky, Amanda Barsky, Michael Barsky, Jamie Fell, and Hannah Fell; Sister Ethel Aspey of Carmichaels, PA; and a special niece, Janet Brasuk.

Bernice was a homemaker throughout her life. She took pride in her home enjoying; cooking, baking, and caring for her flowers. Bernice attended the Hopwood United Methodist Church.

Friends will be received in the Stephen R. Haky Funeral Home Inc. 603 N Gallatin Ave. Ext. Uniontown, PA 15401 on Friday, December 3, 2010 from 12-2 PM, the hour of service, with Rev. Edwin Moore officiating.

Interment will be Private.
