Bernard J. Polkabla, Jr., 61, of Uniontown, Pa., died suddenly on Friday, June 8, 2018 at Cherry Tree Nursing Home. He was born on March 25, 1957 in Uniontown, son of the late Bernard J. and Rosalie A. (German) Polkabla, Sr.

Bernard was a member of St. John the Baptist Byzantine Catholic Church, was a graduate of Uniontown High School Class of 1976, and had been employed in the past with Uniontown City Street Dept., and Sears at the Uniontown, Pa.  and State of California stores.

He leaves behind his wife Suzann (Terravecchia) Polkabla and her son A.J.; two sisters, Nancy M. Polkabla, and Linda L. Mattis and husband Terry, all of Uniontown; a nephew, Douglas Mattis, and niece Sarah Mattis; also aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Friends will be received at the Stephen R. Haky Funeral Home, Inc., 603 N. Gallatin Avenue Ext., Uniontown, Pa. on Wednesday, June 13 from 9:30 a.m. until 10:30 a.m. when a Burial Service will be held at the funeral home with Rev. Father Ronald P. Larko officiating.

Private interment will be held at Mount Saint Macrina Cemetery, Uniontown, Pa.
