Barbara J. Trivonovich, 77, of Masontown, PA, passed away peacefully on Friday, August 19, 2016 at her home, surrounded by her loving family. She was born on September 8, 1938 in Masontown, daughter of John and Ann (Sweda) Wallace, who preceded her in death.
Barbara was a lifelong member of the Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary Orthodox Church (St. Mary's Orthodox Church) of Masontown, member of Friends of Masontown Library, and for many years was a Girl Scouts of America Leader. She had been employed as a data entry processor with Leder Co. Inc., Jefferson, Pa., and also at the Gateway Manufacturing Company. In earlier years she worked as a secretary for Fike Chevrolet, Masontown. Our loving and devoted wife and mother will be greatly missed.
Left to cherish her memory is her loving husband of 56 years, John Trivonovich; their daughters, Tamara A. Trivonovich Jones and husband Thomas of Northfield, VT, and Tania A. Trivonovich of Uniontown, PA; two sisters, Beverly Honeywill, and Veronica "Dolly" Murray and husband Gary, all of Masontown, PA; a brother, George Wallace and wife Georgette of Indiana, PA; a niece, Trisha Wallace Repinski, and a nephew, Callen Wallace.
Friends will be received at the Haky Funeral Home, Inc., 515 N. Main St., Masontown, PA on Wednesday, August 24, from 2-4 and 6-9 pm; and on Thursday, August 25, from 8 am until 9 am when Panachida services will be held at the funeral home, followed by an Orthodox Funeral Service at 10 am at St. Mary's Orthodox Church, 309 S. Washington St., Masontown, PA, with the Very Reverend Joseph Oleynik as celebrant
The Parastas Service will be held on Wednesday at 7 pm at the funeral home, with the Very Reverend Gregory Peterson officiating.
Interment will follow at St. Mary's Orthodox Cemetery, Masontown, PA.
