Barbara Elizabeth Furin, 85, of West Mifflin, PA passed away peacefully, on January 2, 2025.

She was born in Uniontown on September 19,1939.

Barbara (Barbie) was a graduate of Saint John the Evangelist Catholic School in Uniontown; and a graduate of Uniontown Hospital School of Nursing.

She worked at Magee Women's Hospital in Pittsburgh, PA as a nurse manager for most of her career. Barbara's compassion and kindness were a blessing to her patients, her colleagues, and to all who knew her.

Barbara loved her family and friends with steadfast loyalty and constancy. She impressed everyone who knew her with her gentle demeanor and luminous smile.

She was preceded in death by her parents, John and Helen Zidek Furin; and her sister, Bernadette Furin.

She will be greatly missed by numerous cousins, second cousins, and friends.

Visitation for Barbara will be held at the Stephen R. Haky Funeral Home, 603 N. Gallatin Ave. Ext., Uniontown, PA 15401 on Tuesday, January 7th form 2 to 4 PM. A Funeral Mass will be held at St John Evangelist Roman Catholic Church, 50 Jefferson Street, Uniontown, PA 15401 on Wednesday, January 8th at 10 AM.

Interment is in Sylvan Heights Cemetery.
