Barbara "Barb" Demeter, 85 of Uniontown passed on Wednesday April 24, 2024 in Uniontown. Born December 10, 1937 in Uniontown, daughter of the late Joseph and Mary (Lalakulich) Demeter. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister Mary Jane Demeter, her brothers, Joseph Andrew "Sonny" Demeter and Charles Demeter and sister-in-laws Mary Lou Demeter and Joyce Demeter. She is survived by her sister Ellen (Stanley) Kustron and her brother Edward Demeter, both of Summerfield, FL and many nieces and nephews, great nieces and great nephews. She was a member of St. John Byzantine Church of Uniontown and had worked at the Burkowitz Shirt Factory in Perryopolis. A memorial visitation will be held on Saturday June 22, 2024 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Stephen R. Haky Funeral Home, 603 N. Gallatin Ave. Ext. Uniontown where a Panachida Service will be at 12:00 PM in the funeral home. Inurnment will be at St. John the Baptist Byzantine Cemetery, Hopwood, PA.
