Obituary

Armand N. Minghi, age 87, of Uniontown, PA, died on Tuesday, January 3, 2012 at the Uniontown Hospital. He was born on July 13, 1924 in New Eagle, PA, son of the late Romulo and Elizabeth (Valiani) Minghi.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Rose (Stimmell) Minghi; and five brothers and sisters.

Armand proudly served his country during WWII with the US Army in the European Theater of Operations. He was a life member of George C. Marshall AMVETS Post 103, the former VFW Post 47, and the Disabled American Veterans. He was also a life member of the Hutchinson Sportsman's Club.

Left to cherish his memory are his children, Elizabeth Showman and husband Robert of Uniontown, PA, Armand M. Minghi and wife Sonia, with Whom he made his home; and Eloise Minghi of Mon Valley, PA; two Step-sons, Kenneth McClelland and his children, and Charles McClelland, wife Lou Ann, and their children; four grandchildren, Amanda Showman, Robert Showman and wife Jessica, Armand M. Minghi, II., and Kayla Scerba; four great grandchildren, Sierra, Skyela, and Blake Showman, and Nathaniel Showman.

Friends will be received at the Stephen R. Haky Funeral Home, Inc., 603 N. Gallatin Ave., Ext., Uniontown, PA today (Thursday) January 5, from 6-9 p.m.; and on Friday January 6, until 10 a.m. when a Blessing Service will be held in the funeral home chapel, with Rev. Father James Clark Officiating

Interment will follow at Sylvan Heights Cemetery, Uniontown, PA, where military honors will be accorded by AMVETS Post 103
