Anthony V. "Tony" Zawacki, Jr., age 83, of Uniontown, Pa., passed away on Sunday, December 2, 2018 at St. Clair Hospital, Pittsburgh, Pa. He was born on April 28, 1935 in Buffington, Pa., son of the late Anthony and Mary (Sarachman) Zawacki.

Anthony was a member of St. John the Evangelist Roman Catholic Church of Uniontown. He was a graduate of Uniontown High School. He retired from United States Steel Corp. after 25 years in Management.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 35 years, Gertrude (Kapella) Zawacki, a brother, Donald V. Zawacki, a sister, Dorothy Churilla and husband Joseph, brothers-in-law, Samuel Agresti, George Gable, a niece, Jennifer Zawacki Jones, and members of the Kapella family.

Surviving are three loving daughters, Diane Russell (William) of The Plains, Va., Renee Joyce (Gary) of Pittsburgh, Pa., and Marla Coldren (David) of Canonsburg, Pa., a brother, Lee R. Zawacki, Sr. (Diane) of Uniontown, Pa., four sisters, Louise Agresti of Hubbard, Ohio, Henrietta Furda (Joseph) of Garrettsville, Ohio, Kathleen Gable of Hopwood, Pa., and Deborah D'Amico (Louis) of N.J., sister-in-law, Joanne Albani Zawacki of Masontown, and many beloved nieces, nephews, and cousins.

He will be deeply missed by his family whom he loved beyond measure.

Friends will be received at the Stephen R. Haky Funeral Home, Inc., 603 N. Gallatin Ave. Ext., Uniontown, Pa. on Thursday, December 6, 2018 from 10 a.m. until 12 p.m., when a Blessing Service will be held in the funeral home chapel.

Private Entombment will be held at Sylvan Heights Cemetery, Uniontown, Pa.
