Obituary

Anthony M. Gallis, 78 of Uniontown, PA, passed away on Friday October 29, 2010 at home with his loving family at his side.

He was born on November 1, 1931 in Youngstown, (Lemont Furnace) PA., a son of Joseph and Anna (Gusic) Gallis.

He was a member of St. Mary (Nativity) Roman Catholic Church, served with the United States Air Force, lifetime member of the Fayette Gun Club, the American Trap Shooting Association, graduate of North Union High School class of 1950 and a partner in Ross Radio and TV.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers Joseph Gallis, Michael Gallis, George Gallis, John Gallis, Frank Gallis, Lawrence Gallis, Steve Gallis and his sister Mary A. Ross.

Left to cherish his memory is his loving wife of 43 years, Judith L. (Astleford) Gallis, daughter Heidi Gallis Mears and her husband Brian, the joys of his life twin grandsons Alex Michael Mears, & Max Anthony Mears, a sister Anna Horvath, sisters in law Betty J. Gallis, Mary Gallis, a special nephew "Mick" Gallis, many friends and numerous nieces and nephews.

Friends will be received in the Stephen R. Haky Funeral Home, Inc. 603 North Gallatin Ave. Ext., Uniontown, Pa. today October 31, 2010 from 2-5 & 7-9 p.m. and Monday November 1, 2010 until 10:30 a.m. when a blessing service will be held with Rev. Father Stephen R. Bugay.

Interment will be held in Mount Macrina Cemetery, Uniontown, PA, where military honors will be accorded by The AMVETS Post # 103 of Hopwood.
