Anthony R. "Tony" Budner, affectionately known as "Cap" by his family and friends, died peacefully surrounded by his loving family at Peroni Personal Care Home on Sunday, November 25, 2012, at the age of 81.

He was born to Andrew and Molly (Thomas) Budner on June 9, 1931 in Uniontown. His parents, and cherished wife Margaret "Marge" (Boniar) Budner preceded him in death.

Cap was a member of St. Joseph Roman Catholic Church of Uniontown, where he served as an Usher for many years, and was a graduate of Georges High School. He was a Steel Worker retired from National Tube, McKeesport, PA. He was an avid sports fan, and above all else a caring and devoted husband and father.

Surviving are two sons, Rick Budner and his wife Sheila of Pittsburgh, PA; Ed Budner and his wife Debbie of Uledi, PA; a granddaughter, Amy Zungri and husband Patsy of Hopwood, PA; great-granddaughter, Morgan Zungri; sisters, Dorothy Brooks of Uniontown, PA; and Dolores Corder and husband Lynn of Albion, PA; and many nieces and nephews.

The family extends heartfelt thanks for the dedication and wonderful care provided by the staff and caregivers at Peroni Personal Care Home and Medi-Home Hospice.

Friends will be received in the Stephen R. Haky Funeral Home, Inc., 603 N. Gallatin Ave., Ext., Uniontown, PA, on Wednesday, November 28, from 1-4 and 6-8 p.m.; and on Thursday, November 29, until 9:15 a.m. when Prayers of Transfer will be said.

The Funeral Mass will be held at 10 a.m. on Thursday at St. Joseph Roman Catholic Church, 180 Old Walnut Hill Rd, Uniontown, PA, with Rev. Father Ronald L. Simboli as Celebrant.

Interment will follow at Mount Macrina Cemetery, Uniontown, PA.
