AnnaMarie (Bacha) Shimko, 83, of West Leisenring, PA, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, July 6, 2016, in Mt. Macrina Manor, Uniontown, PA, with her loving family by her side. AnnaMarie was born August 22, 1932, the daughter of the late Andrew Bacha and Anna (Rochech) Bacha of West Leisenring, PA.

She graduated from North Union High School, Class of 1951, and married Francis Shimko on June 23, 1956. AnnaMarie worked as a secretary/bookkeeper for B.J. Mundel Furniture for many years until her retirement.

She was parishioner of St. Polycarp, then St. John the Evangelist Roman Catholic Church, Uniontown, PA. During her retirement, AnnaMarie enjoyed baking, gardening, bingo, crocheting, and was an avid Steelers Fan.

In addition to her parents, AnnaMarie was preceded in death by her loving husband, of 60 years, Francis (Flicker) Shimko; and sisters, Dolores Soltis, and Joanne Bacha.

Left to cherish her memory, are her children, Timothy Shimko and his wife Sheri, of Brownsville, PA, and Lawrence Shimko of West Leisenring, PA; grandchildren, Shannon M. Thomas and her husband Paul of La Belle, PA, and Christopher Shimko of Staten Island, NY; great grandchildren, Andrew, Skylar, Paityn, and Bethany; brothers, Andrew and his wife Edith of Uniontown, PA, and Leonard and his wife Diane of Medina, OH; and many nieces and nephews.

Friends will be received in the Stephen R. Haky Funeral Home Inc. 603 N. Gallatin Avenue Ext., Uniontown, PA, 15401, on Friday, July 8, from 2-4 and 6-9 p.m. and Saturday, July 9, until 9 a.m. when Prayers of Transfer will be said.

The Funeral Mass will follow in St. John the Evangelist Roman Catholic Church, 50 Jefferson Street, Uniontown, PA, at 9:30 a.m. with Rev. Father James D. Tringhese as Celebrant.

Interment Services will be held at Lafayette Memorial Park, Briar Hill, PA.
