Obituary

Anna (Dursa) Sellong of Uniontown, PA, died on Thursday, January 20, 2011 at the Hillside Manor Personal Care Home, Uniontown, PA.

She was born in Lemont Furnace, PA, daughter of Joseph and Helen Dursa.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, John Sellong in 1976; granddaughter, Danette Ritz; brothers, John, Frank, and Joe Dursa; and a sister, Margaret Sholtis.



Anna was a member of Saint John the Baptist Byzantine Catholic Church, where she volunteered in the church kitchen making Pirohi for many years. She was a member of the Greek Catholic Union. Until she retired, she worked as a housekeeper for Dr. Hubbard, and many other local families.

Left to cherish her memory are her Children, Sons, Emil J. Sellong of Ligonier, PA; and William J. "Bill" Sellong and wife Margaret of Uniontown, PA; 6 Grandchildren, Danny Sellong, Donnie Sellong and wife Sonya, Emil "E. J." Sellong, Dougie Sellong, Debi Spaw, William "Billy" Sellong and wife Nickoleen, and Theresa Harr and husband Russ; 11 Great Grandchildren, Cassidy, Amanda, Ashley, Mindy; Jessica, Justin, Morgan, Michael, Melissa, Eric, and Ethan; a Great Great Grandson, Payton, Summer, Hannah, Samantha, Skylar, Nathan, Destiny, Neveah; a Sister, Mary Novak of Pittsburgh, PA; and several Nieces and Nephews.

The family would like to thank the staff of Hillside Manor Personal Care Home, especially Nurses Aide Pam, and Albert Gallatin Hospice Nurse Becky for their wonderful, compassionate care.

Friends will be received in the Stephen R. Haky Funeral Home, Inc., 603 N. Gallatin Ave., Ext., Uniontown, PA, on Monday 2-4 and 7-9 p.m.; and on Tuesday, January 25, until 11 am when a Panachida Service will be held.

A Divine Liturgy will follow in Saint John the Baptist Byzantine Catholic Church, 185 E. Main St., Uniontown, PA, at 11:30 a.m., with Rev. Father Ronald P. Larko as Celebrant.

Interment will be held at Saint John Byzantine Cemetery, Hopwood, PA.

The Parastas Service will be held on Monday evening at 8 p.m.
