Anna Marie "A" (Poli) Georgiana, 77, of Uniontown, PA, died peacefully at home surrounded by her loving, caring, and devoted family on Monday, September 17, 2012.

She was born on August 18, 1935 in Uniontown, daughter of the late Angelo and Diletta (Dionisio) Poli.

In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband Rudolph "Rudy" J. Georgiana, Sr.; their first born son, Rudolph J. "Spanky" Georgiana, Jr.; five sisters-in-law, (infant) Rose Georgiana, Laura Georgiana, Marie Georgiana, Mary Lou Poli, and Dorothy Georgiana; six brothers-in-law, Joseph, Frank, Samuel, Anthony, and Orlando Georgiana, and Phil Terravecchia.; and her father-in-law and mother-in-law, Salvatore and Lucia Georgiana.

Anna Marie worked various jobs including Howard Johnsons Restaurant and J C Penney Company. Her most rewarding job was being a mother to her devoted children. She was also a wonderful babysitter for many children in the community. She loved all children, and not a day passed that she did not think about hugging her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren, whom she deeply cherished.

Anna Marie was concerned about all children. She was always looking for sales on clothes to make sure her grandchildren, and even strangers who were in need, would get needed items such as coats and shoes. She also was a great cook. Anyone who knocked on Anna's door knew that she would insist that you come in and eat. If you weren't hungry she would somehow convince you, you were. Anna had a great sense of humor, and was fun to be around.

She was the best mother anyone could ask for because she had such a fierce, over protective love for her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. We are all going to miss her immense heart. Rest in peace mommy, we will always love you!

Surviving are her beloved children, Lawrence S. Georgiana and wife Stephanie, Louis A. Georgiana and wife Jamie, all of Uniontown, PA, Beverly J. Galzerano and husband Mark of Aliquippa, PA; Joseph A. Georgiana and wife Tammy, and David Georgiana, all of Uniontown, PA; eight grandchildren, Louis Georgiana, Jr., Shawn Georgiana, Lawrence Georgiana, II., Alexis Georgiana, Benjamin and Christopher Galzerano, Dominic Georgiana, and David Georgiana, Jr.; and six great grandchildren.

She is also survived by four brothers and three sisters, Frank Poli, Sr. of Warren, OH, Florence Stella and husband Renato of Wilmington, DE, Minnie Wontroba, Angela Georgiana and husband John, Louis Poli and wife Nancy, Silvio Poli and wife Teddi, and Angelo Poli, Jr. and wife Nancy, all of Uniontown, PA; a sister-in-law, Nancy Terravecchia of New Salem, PA; and many nieces and nephews and their families.

She also leaves behind many good friends with whom she shared countless good times.

She will be sadly missed by all who knew her. "There is no greater love than a mother's love."

Anna Marie was a member of St. Mary (Nativity) Roman Catholic Church. She was a graduate of Mount Macrina Academy.

Friends will be received at the Stephen R. Haky Funeral Home, Inc., 603 N. Gallatin Ave., Ext., Uniontown, PA, on Wednesday, September 19, from 2 pm until 9 pm, and also on Thursday, September 20, until 9:30 a.m., when Prayers of Transfer will be said.

The Funeral Mass will follow at 10 am at St. Mary (Nativity) Roman Catholic Church, 61 N. Mt. Vernon Ave., Uniontown, PA, with Rev. Father Stephen R. Bugay as Celebrant.

Interment will be held at Sylvan Heights Cemetery, Uniontown, PA.

The Parish Wake Service will be held on Wednesday afternoon at 3 p.m.

Memorial contributions in her memory may be made to the American Heart Association/American Stroke Association.
