Anna Maria (Dockmonovich) Halowich, age 90, of Masontown, PA, died peacefully at home on Monday, April 23, 2012, surrounded by her loving family. She was born on September 25, 1921 in Palmer, PA, daughter of Daniel and Maria (Rayner) Dockmonovich.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband of 47 years, Steve Halowich in 1995; son-in-law, Brian Veiman; brothers, Charles, George, Michael "Chip"; and sisters, Mary, and Margaret.

Anna was a member of All Saints Roman Catholic Church, Masontown, and was a member of the Confraternity of Christian Mothers. In earlier years she enjoyed bowling with her team at Manor Lanes in Hopwood. She was very proud of supporting the war effort in New York during WWII, where she worked as a Radio Inspector for B-25 Bombers, and being a member of "The Greatest Generation" Later, she dedicated her life to her family, a compassionate and loving wife and mother, with a beautiful sense of humor, and sentimental nature.

Anna always enjoyed talking on the phone with all of her friends and family, especially her kid sister, "Cuts". She was a great "Steelers" fan, and was proud of her collection of angels snowmen, and "Betty Boop". She loved to tell the story of her life, and recount treasured memories of her travels with her husband. She was as delicate as the blue birds and flowers that she adored, often working into the night tending her gardens. Anna and had a deep appreciation for all God's creatures.

Left to cherish her memory are her children, Karen Ann Halowich, Mark Halowich and wife Barbara, all with whom she made her home; and Cherie Veiman of Pittsburgh, PA; 4 grandchildren, Kevin Ayers and Brian Ayers, both of Detroit, MI, Bill Terry and wife Dana of Bozeman, MT, and Theresa Kenny and husband Tom of State College, PA; 9 great grandchildren, Jordan, Brady, Abigail, Brianna, Logan, Sophia, Tiger-Lilly, Willow, and Sebastian; a sister, Catherine Novasky of Masontown, PA; and many nieces and nephews and their families.

She also leaves behind her grandkitties, "Milo" and "Murray", and her granddog "Cargo"

Friends will be received at the Haky Funeral Home, Inc., 515 N. Main St., Masontown, PA, on Thursday, April 26, from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m.; and on Friday, April 27, until 9:30 a.m. when Prayers of Transfer will be said.

The Funeral Mass will follow at 10 a.m. in All Saints Roman Catholic Church, 101 S. Washington St., Masontown, PA with Rev. Father John M. Butler as Celebrant.

Interment will be held at Lafayette Memorial Park, Brier Hill, PA.
