Obituary

Angeline L. (Chambers) Hoon, 94 of Uniontown, PA, passed away on Sunday, May 11, 2014 at Generations Elder Care, Smock, PA. She was born on September 24, 1919 in Star City, WV, daughter of the late Dominic and Josephine (Bartley) Chambers.

In addition to her parents, Angeline was preceded in death by her husband, William A. Hoon, daughter, Linda L. Hoon; and a brother, John E. Chambers.

Angeline was a member of St. Francis of Assisi Roman Catholic Parish, Masontown, and had been a member of the Confraternity of Christian Mothers. She graduated from Masontown High School Class of 1937, and was employed with S.S. Kresge Company (K-Mart) for over 19 years. She was also a member of the Edenborn Volunteer Fire Dept. Auxiliary.

Surviving are daughters, Connie Knepshield at home, Mary Jo Kelecic and husband Michael "Ham" Kelecic of Adah, PA; grandchildren, Jason M. Kelecic and wife Jean of Minnesota, Kenneth W. Kelecic and wife Cindy of Royersford, PA, and Rebecca L. Kelecic of Adah, PA; great grandchildren, Michael W. Kelecic and Joseph L. Kelecic of Minnesota, Juliana R. Kelecic of Royersford, PA, and Jonelle L. Kelecic of Adah, PA; a brother, Anthony Chambers of Carmichaels, PA; a sister, Agnes Vasillo of Brownsburg, IN; a sister-in-law, Cecelia Chambers of Waynesburg, PA; and many nieces, nephews and their families.

The family extends special thanks to the owners and staff of Generations Elder Care, and the nurses of Celtic Hospice.

Friends will be received at the Haky Funeral Home, Inc., 515 N. Main St., Masontown, PA, on Wednesday, May 14, from 2 p.m. until 8 p.m.; and Thursday, May 15, until 9:30 a.m. when Prayers of Transfer will be said.

The Funeral Mass will be held on Thursday at 10 a.m. at St. Francis of Assisi Roman Catholic Parish, 101 S. Washington St., Masontown, PA, with Rev. Father James F. Bump as Celebrant.

Interment will follow at St. Agnes Cemetery, Leckrone, PA.

St. Francis of Assisi Confraternity of Christian Mothers will recite the Rosary on Wednesday at 3 p.m. The Edenborn VFD Auxiliary will hold services on Wednesday at 7 p.m.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Edenborn Volunteer Fire Dept. or the
German- Masontown Public Library.
