Mr. Andrew H. Sadosky, 96 of Coolspring passed away on Saturday, September 13, 2025 at the Uniontown Hospital.
He was born in Jumonville, Pennsylvania on December 5, 1928 to the late Joseph and Frances (Machesky) Sadosky.
On December 30, 1950 he married Martha Novak, his loving wife of seventy-four years.
Andrew proudly served as Corporal in the United States Army from 1951 to 1953. He was stationed in Fort Hood, Texas where his job was a kitchen supervisor. After being honorably discharged from the Army, Andrew and his wife Martha moved back to Coolspring, Pennsylvania.
Andrew graduated from North Union High School, class of 1947, then attended Waynesburg University after returning from the Army.
He was a Coal Miner and Federal Mine inspector. He retired from Maple Creek Mine in 1991.
In his youth, Andrew was a member of St. Joseph's Roman Catholic Church where he proudly sang in the church choir. After marriage, Andrew was a member of St. Mary Nativity Church of Uniontown. At St. Mary's Andrew enjoyed working the parish festivals and making pierogi's.
He was a member of the Knights of Columbus, the Polish Heritage Club and the Veteran of Foreign Wars Post 8543.
Andrew loved the outdoors. He enjoyed gardening in his vegetables and flower gardens. Andrew enjoyed and took pride in his carpentry work. He enjoyed traveling to various places, especially the 21 day trip to Europe he took his family on. He was proud of his Polish heritage and enjoyed polka music and polka dancing. He along with his wife Martha enjoyed going to polka dances on the weekends.
Andrew was loved by all. He loved his family. He along with his wife Martha provided his family and extended family a lifetime of wonderful memories by hosting the Annual Christmas Eve Celebration and Annual Family Reunion. Andrew was truly one of a kind. He was the best husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather and uncle there ever was. He was a wonderful man who will be sadly missed by all.
Andrew is survived by his loving wife, Martha Sadosky of Coolspring; a daughter, Deborah (Donald) Mack of Smock; grandchildren, Kristen Crawford, Melissa (PJ) Ciotti, Cassandra (Josh) Pettus, and Andrea and Kimberly Sadosky; great grandchildren, Michael Ciotti, and Alex, Henry, and Estelle Pettus; a brother, Edward (Josephine) Sadosky; a daughter-in-law, Mary Jo Sadosky; and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a son, Andrew M. Sadosky; siblings, Sophie Kolat, Agnes Sadosky, Frances Burkey, Veronica Domko, Helen Grondolsky, Cecelia Bradley, Mary Kjersgaard, Anthony Sadosky and Jospeh Sadosky.
Visitation for Andrew will be held at the Stephen R. Haky Funeral Home, 603 N. Gallatin Ave. Ext. Uniontown, PA 15401 on Friday, September 19th from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 PM. A mass of Christian burial will be held on Saturday, September 20th at 12 Noon at St. Mary Nativity Church, 61 N. Mt. Vernon Ave., Uniontown, PA 15401, with prayers of transfer at 11:15 AM at the funeral home.
Interment is in St. Mary Cemetery in Uniontown.
