Obituary

Agnes K. "Aggie" (Palovchalk) Cossick, 89, of Uniontown, PA, passed away at home on Wednesday, January 27, 2016. She was born on September 7, 1926 in Trotter, a daughter of John and Amelia (Krihak) Palovchalk.

She was the last surviving member of her immediate family, preceded in death by her parents, husband John M. Cossick; sisters, Mary Soltis, Sue Roy, Pauline Ambrisco, Emma Hudock, Margaret Matchey Pellish, and Clara Zelesnik; and brothers, Michael, Andrew, and Joseph Palovchalk.

Aggie graduated from Dunbar Township High School Class of 1944. She was a member of St. John the Baptist Byzantine Catholic Church, American Legion Ladies Auxiliary, Amvets Ladies Auxiliary, St. John Byzantine Senior Citizens group, and the Perry Travel Club. She loved to play Bingo, do puzzles, and go to casinos. She was also a great cook.

She is survived by her daughter, Jane Miller and husband Paul of Uniontown, PA; her son, Richard Cossick and wife Debbie of Connellsville, PA; granddaughter, Shannon Kennedy and husband Ben and great-granddaughters, Celia and Hazel Kennedy of Chicago, IL; grandson, Joshua Cossick and wife Laura, and great-grandson Owen Cossick, all of Mount Pleasant, PA; beloved brother and sister-in-law, Donald "Bruce" Cossick and wife Patricia of Warwick, RI; several other dear brothers and sisters-in-law; a special niece, Denise Delisle and husband Bob of Colchester, CT; and several nieces and nephews and great-nieces and nephews.

Friends will be received at the Stephen R. Haky Funeral Home, Inc., 603 N. Gallatin Ave., Ext., Uniontown, PA, on Friday, January 29th from 3-8 p.m; and on Saturday, January 30th until 12:30 p.m. when the Panachida service will be held.

The Divine Liturgy will follow at 1 p.m. on Saturday in St. John the Baptist Byzantine Catholic Church, 185 E. Main St., Uniontown, with Rev. Father Ronald P. Larko as celebrant.

Entombment will follow at Sylvan Heights Cemetery.

The Parastas service will be held on Friday at 4 p.m. The Amvets Ladies Auxiliary will hold services at 4:30 p.m.
