Obituary

Adrian A. "Buzz" Santella, age 61, of Carmichaels, PA, passed away on Sunday, February 15, 2015 at Ruby Memorial Hospital, Morgantown, WV. He was born on January 21, 1954 in Uniontown, PA, son of the late Alfred and Gloria Jean (Walters) Santella.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Leonard and Anna Santella; and his father-in-law, Otho Smalley.

Buzz was a member of the former All Saints Roman Catholic Church, now St. Francis of Asisi Parish, Masontown, PA. He was a graduate of the former German Township High School, class of 1971, a graduate of Penn State University, class of 1974, where he received an Associates Degree in Electrical Engineering, and a graduate of the Pennsylvania Police Academy.

He was a retired Claims Examiner for the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, and served as a police officer in RedStone Township. He also worked as a part-time employee for Home Depot, Uniontown, PA.

Left to cherish his memory are, his wife, Marie (Smalley) Santella of Carmichaels, PA; his son, Tristan L. Santella; an uncle, Carl Williams and his wife Shelly; cousins, Monica Pupek, Carla Crofcheck, and Mark Williams; an aunt, Dolores Santella; mother-in-law, Violet Smalley; sisters-in-law, Patty Lewis and husband Ken, Deb Jordan and husband John, Brenda Whoolery and husband Wayne, Susie Large and husband Larry, Cathy Franks and husband Dan, and Shirley Townsend; Brothers-in-law, Ralph Smalley, Otho Smalley and wife Barbara, Tom Smalley and wife Ruth, and Floyd Smalley; and many more nieces, nephews and cousins and their families.

Friends will be received at the Haky Funeral Home, Inc., 515 N. Main St., Masontown, PA, on Wednesday, February 18, 2015 from 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m.

A Blessing Service will be held in the Funeral Home Chapel on Thursday, February 19 at 2 p.m. with Rev. Father James F. Petrovsky Officiating.

Interment will take place at Church Hill Cemetery, McClellandtown, PA.
